Trying to get to HEAVEN by works is like
trading our works for a ladder
and hoping it will reach.
The works ladder pictured above represents all the good deeds that a religious person can accumulate
in a lifetime. Infant baptism is a work that doesn't even count and some religious people think that it
will get them to HEAVEN - the same for familiarity with a religious system or the book that
contains all the rules of a religion. Works are not the entrance to HEAVEN.
The only way to HEAVEN is
JESUS.
Ephesians 2:8&9
For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Trying to work your way to HEAVEN is like
hoping to get to Hawaii from Hong Kong
( or Bagdad to Brazil )
by shooting yourself from a cannon.
You'll be about a kazillion short.
