Malachi 4:1 - melting ice on earth and resultant catastrophic rise in sea level

Malachi 4:1 and Revelation 16:8 address the same tribulation judgment -

the melting of the ice on earth and

the destruction as a result of the rise in water

levels along the coastlines.

Malachi 4:1

For behold, the day comes that shall burn like an oven,

and all the proud and arrogant, yes,

and all that do wickedly and are lawless, shall be stubble;

the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts,

They will be consumed - roots, branches, and all.

Revelation 16:8-9

The fourth angel emptied his bowl over the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch men in its fiery blaze.

Then men were terribly burned in the heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has control over these afflictions;

but they neither repented nor gave him glory.
