Jeremiah 38:6 thru 13

So they took Jeremiah and put him into the cistern which was in the courtyard of the guard. They lowered Jeremiah by ropes into the cistern; it had no water in it, only mud, and Jeremiah sank down into the mud.

Ebed heard that they had put Jeremiah into the cistern - so he complained to the King.

The King told Ebed to rescue Jeremiah.

So they took thirty men and pulled Jeremiah out.
